Overriding "Endorsed" JARs in rt.jar Overriding extension implementations that are packaged in rt.jar is now possible as of JDK 1.4. You just obtain an alternative implementation JAR for your extension and plop it in to %JAVA_HOME%/lib/endorsed ($JAVA_HOME/lib/endorsed for the enlightened).
