Finally, somewhere for those less-than-perfectly-conceived ideas for Java "enhancements" to go: JSR-666, thanks to Alan Lang. Examples of JSR-666 members:
- import *
- Default "throws Exception" clause on all methods without an explicitly decalred throws clause
- Eliminate NullPointerException
Some that were apparently moved to accepted JSRs:
- foreach(...)
- type-unsafe generics
